As many companies do, Vans was birthed from a dream of one of its founders, Paul Van Doren. He had learned how to make sneakers in a factory on the East Coast of America and in the middle of the 60´s he decided to spread his wings. Teaming up with business partners Jim Van Doren, Gordy Lee and Serge D`Elia, he moved to California and started up Van's.
